From the Founder

"This started with just me and my partner trying to brainstorm ways to help stop the next child and family abuse — or the next death. I am an ex-survivor myself. I went to court to try to get people removed from my home. More came. I was bashed badly, hurt, and almost stabbed. I was too scared to call the police for the hundredth time. I know what it is like to feel like there is nowhere to go and no one coming.

I wish I could have gotten a house or a relocation grant. Instead I was left with a $50,000 bill and a trashed home. Now I am trying to be the thing I needed. If I can make even one difference in someone's life — I am happy. But if we can get people on board — sponsors, partners, landowners, real estate agents, banks, families, businesses, tradies, or just strangers who stick up for this cause — we can do so much more.

We are looking to partner with anyone who has spare land where we can place compact, modern, safe micro-homes — converted caravans, buses, or storage units — as temporary safe housing for survivors and their children.

These would be done up to be liveable, safe, and dignified — a modern safe vibe — until we get survivors into a proper network of help that will not send them back to the same place. Because next time, it could be too late.
